BLAST!
HIGH FIVE ENTERTAINMENT TO PRODUCE BLAST! TELEVISION PREMIER FOR PBS
NASHVILLE, Tenn., (April 7, 2000) - High Five Entertainment headed to England to produce the world television premier of BLAST! Taped April 13 and 14 in the London Apollo, Hammersmith Theater.
Since the London debut of BLAST! in December 1999, the 68 member group has gained international recognition for its elaborately choreographed musical performances. BLAST! is based on a drum and bugle corps technique and consists of brass, percussion and visual ensemble sections. While the brass and percussion sections are composed of standard music instruments, the visual ensemble uses props such as flags and sabers, with drill techniques to create a fully arranged performance packed with sound, color and action.
Martin Fischer, president of High Five Entertainment, says BLAST! delivers an exciting entertainment vehicle that combines precision movements with nonstop music. "The intense choreography paired with dynamic music creates an energy and excitement that will translate well to television. We're excited to bring this unique experience to PBS viewers."
