Television Special to Air August and December on PBS
NASHVILLE, Tenn., (March 8, 2024) - High Five Entertainment will bring the romantic sounds of Windham Hill recording artist Jim Brickman to PBS for an encore performance in the form of a one-hour special Love Songs and Lullabies that will air in August and December. Love Songs and Lullabies follows on the heels of My Romance: An Evening with Jim Brickman, the first High Five-produced Brickman PBS special, which enjoyed a highly-successful run on PBS in 2000.
Love Songs and Lullabies, which will be taped March 9 and 10 at the Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts in Hartford, Conn., is the ninth special produced by High Five for PBS. Brickman, an internationally renowned pianist and composer, has sold millions of albums around the globe.
Special guests on the program include actress and vocalist Jane Krakowski, actor Kevin Spirtas, pop group All-4-One and songwriter/recording artist Beth Nielsen Chapman. Krakowski stars as Elaine in the television series Ally McBeal and has been nominated for both Emmy and Tony awards. Spirtas is featured on Days of Our Lives. Brickman's regular collaborators violinist Tracy Silverman and vocalist Anne Cochran also will appear.
The special will feature music from across Brickman's career as well as the new album, Simple Things.
"We look forward to capturing the magic of Jim's artistry and global appeal in this special," said Martin Fischer, president of High Five. "We're also excited about the incredible diversity in our guests from Broadway stars and actors to pop stars and a renowned songwriter."
