As President and co-founder of High Five Entertainment, Martin is the guiding force in the continuing evolution of the company responsible for overseeing all areas of production and development across the company’s diverse programming slate.
Martin graduated from USC’s School of Cinema in 1982 and co-founded High Five Entertainment in 1983 in Los Angeles. For the next ten years he worked diligently to build the company producing more than 200 music videos for artists of all genres along with commercials and short form programming. In 1993, High Five’s production of the critically acclaimed syndicated series “The Road” brought him to Nashville where he quickly became enchanted with southern hospitality and consequently moved operations to Music City.
Martin has continued to lead the company in the development and production of reality and game show series, and long form and large scale music events for a wide range of clients, including NBC, CBS, ABC, HBO, PBS, CMT, Speed, and GAC. In addition to numerous domestic specials, he has produced specials in Germany, Ireland, England and around the world. Martin’s credit list is synonymous with High Five’s, and throughout his career, he continues to receive numerous industry awards and recognition.
Martin is a native of Munich, Germany and holds an M.F.A. degree from the world renowned University Of Southern California School Of Cinema, as well as an undergraduate degree from Hampshire College. He is a board member of the W.O. Smith School of Music and The League for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
